Uniform

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

Wānaka School has a compulsory school uniform. Items may be purchased through the Apparel Studio Uniform Shop which is situated at 11 Frederick Street. Opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm. It is compulsory for Wānaka Primary School students to wear a sun-safe hat (one with a brim or flaps that cover the neck and ears, or a bucket hat) at interval and lunch breaks and when playing or working outside in terms 1 and 4. Children who do not have a sunhat will be restricted to remaining under the shade sails when outside.

Boys

–    Navy cargo shorts or navy trackpants or cargos
–    Navy or white polo top with embroidered logo
–    Either navy sweatshirt or navy/gold fleece embroidered with logo
–    Or merino jersey embroidered with logo 
–    A bucket hat or wide brim hat (required for terms 1 and 4)

Girls

–    Navy skort or navy trackpants
–    Navy or white polo top with embroidered logo
–    Either navy sweatshirt or navy/gold fleece embroidered with logo
–    Or merino jersey embroidered with logo

Please note

Sports hoodies (e.g. netball, rugby, soccer, etc), clothing printed with logos, caps and gumboots are not uniform items and must not be worn to school.

Please Name All Clothing! As you can appreciate, it is impossible to return unnamed items to their rightful owners and our lost property box is frequently overflowing with discarded clothing.

We have a set of track suits we lend to children taking part in activities when they are representing the school.
